First mix water and baking soda, and when you get a smooth mixture, pour a drop of soap or dishwashing detergent. Stir well and pour into a spray bottle. Spray on the mattress and watch as the foam will appear. Wait for the surface to dry (you can speed this up with a hairdryer), then brush with a dry brush or vacuum.

Stains from sweat, feces, stomach contents, fat are best cleaned with an enzyme-based cleaner. They can be purchased at drugstores or medical equipment stores.
